At Fifty Fifty Initiative for Development (FFID), we believe that informed adolescents are better equipped to make decisions that shape a brighter future.

As part of our commitment to promoting the wellbeing of young people, we organized an Adolescent Sensitization on Teenage Pregnancy and Early Marriage in Yama Community during the school vacation period. The session brought together adolescent girls to equip them with the knowledge and confidence to make informed life choices.

The sensitization was conducted in collaboration with the Yama Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) Compound and was facilitated by Madam Mery, the Nurse-in-Charge, who led engaging discussions on the causes, consequences, and prevention of teenage pregnancy and early marriage. She also highlighted the importance of education, reproductive health, and seeking appropriate health services.

We sincerely appreciate Madam Mery, the Yama CHPS team, community leaders, parents, and all the participants for making this initiative a success. By working together, we can empower girls to stay in school, pursue their aspirations, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

At FFID, we remain committed to protecting the rights of adolescents and creating opportunities for every girl to thrive.
